Eric Kot
Executive Director, Texas
Originally from Michigan, Eric relocated to Houston, Texas in 1997. Prior to PCSD, he worked for KIPP Public Schools for over 15+ years having held various leadership positions including Chief Operating Officer (KIPP Houston) and Deputy Chief of Operations (KIPP Texas) where he oversaw real estate and construction for the State. Prior to KIPP, Eric worked at Compaq Computers/Hewlett-Packard as a Senior Project Manager in the Corporate Strategy group.
Eric has a B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University, an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from Indiana University, and an Ed.M from Harvard University in Education Policy and Management.
Eric enjoys reading, fly fishing, and is an amateur birdwatcher (Purple Martin landlord). He’s been married for 18 years and has a daughter in 9th grade. During the fall, he spends his time volunteering as a pit and prop crew member for his daughter’s marching band (Friday Night Lights!).
