Project Overview

PCSD partnered with Equitas Academy Charter Schools to develop a new elementary school campus in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles. The property, which was previously a vacant commercial building, was converted into a two-story classroom building with a multipurpose room, parking, and a play area for Equitas Academy Elementary School #3, with space for 500 students in grades TK-4.

Completed in 2018, the project had to meet the requirements of a City of Los Angeles Historic Preservation Overlay Zone (HPOZ). A separate parking lot a block away from the school was also constructed to provide parking for the school.
